175 Years of London Buses


To Commemorate 175 years since the first buses ran in London two of Arriva's routemaster buses have been decorated in special liveries. RM 2524. JJD 524D has a style based on the George Shillibeer Omnibus livery of 1829, which ran from Paddington to Bank.

The other bus is RM 25. 885 UXC. (exVLT 25)  is painted in Great Northern colours, The railway company ran horse buses in the 1850's from Kings Cross to London Bridge.
