Buses on the Ferry

A DMS bus on one of the ferries heading for the North, waiting  for the other ferry alredy there to leave.
During the 1980s large numbers of these buses were sold off by London Transport to Ensignbus at Purfleet. The ride on the ferry was a one way trip from South London to Essex.

Two DMS class buses can be seen on the decks of the ferry in this photograph. Devoid of blinds, but with adverts still intact.

The top deck of another of the buses, complete with graffiti heading over the river. Perhaps to a new life overseas after a spell at Ensigns.
