Endeavour replica

The Endeavour, or at least a replica sailing up the Thames at Woolwich.
This is the ship which CaptainJames Cook took to the South Pacific in 1768 to witness an eclipse of the sun by Venus. He sailed with Joseph Banks, a naturalist who gave Botany Bay in Australia its name. Cook also named New South Wales on this trip, which included a visit to New Zealand. The Endeavour returned to England in 1771.
