| Thomas Tilling Motor bus LF 9434 on service 75.
Seen here at Croydon, Swan and Sugar Loaf, with driver and conductor alongside. Tilling's route 75 was inaugurated in June 1913. It ran from Woolwich Ferry to Croydon, via Charlton, Greenwich Park Blackheath, Lee, Catford, Lower Sydenham, and Penge. Kenneth Payne says that the driver in the pictures is his Grandfather David Samuel Payne. |
