Thomas Tilling Motor Bus

Thomas Tilling Motor bus LF 9434 on service 75.

Tilling's route 75 was inaugurated in June 1913. It ran from Woolwich Ferry to Croydon, via Charlton, Greenwich Park Blackheath, Lee, Catford, Lower Sydenham, and Penge.

Kenneth Payne says that the driver in the pictures is his Grandfather David Samuel Payne.

Tilling Stevens TTA1 petrol-electric bus introduced on 11 June 1911.  The type used a single electric motor driving a live axle  It  became the standard bus used by the operator in London and other provincial areas in which they had activities.
