this bus route was only two-hourly and ran for about a year 1967-8 when it was changed to a limited stop 402 - you can imagine it must have taken all day to get from Dartford to Southend calling at every stop.It was then worked by dual-purpose Bristol RE single deckers, so your photo is rare indeed.
