Hunting for Sport

Hunting foxes with hounds has now been banned in The United Kingdom

There are different types of hunting for sport. The most notorious in Britain is Fox Hunting. These poor creatures are chased through the woodland by dogs and men on horses. Once the dogs catch the fox, they are ripped to pieces.

The defences for such atrocities are pointless. The first is tradition. Isn't it also tradition to send children up chimneys? Just because something is tradition, doesn't make it right. The other arguments generally contradict each other. One is that it helps keep the population of foxes down .. This argument is contracted by two things. Firstly, some hunts breed foxes for the sole purpose of hunting them down. Another thing that fox hunt supporters say is that they don't kill that many anyway. So if they don't kill that many, then they are not actually keeping the population down obviously.
